Great read! Another suggestion for getting hired: companies love it when you have a few projects under your belt that you can show off, even if they are just static HTML websites or basic CRUD applications. It shows that you have initiative and can see a project through from start to finish. Bonus points if you have the projects’ code on your personal GitHub.
