A Comedian Walked Into A Hostel…

Hostels are a real melting pot of folks from all over the world, from student backpackers off on their first solo trip, to business types looking for a cheap night’s accommodation. They’re also a great place to stay for entertainers during their tours — providing an affordable bed as they hop from one city to the next. Plus, there’s the added benefit of an inbuilt audience of adventurous and frequently drunk fellow travellers who are more than ready to come and watch you perform a set at a local club — especially if it’s free!
Isaac Hostel in Dublin welcomed comedians Ryan J. Dalton and Aidan ‘Taco’ Jones a couple of weeks ago. They decided to give Comundu a try as a way of promoting their show.
“I thought Comundu was a great bit of social media and the way it showed up straight away in my browser when I logged on to the hostel wifi made it a perfect place to tell people about my shows in Dublin.” — Aidan
Aidan put the word out on Comundu about his gig later that night at the nearby Stag’s Head, inviting all of the hostel’s guests along to the show.

Among those logged onto the app was our very own Sally, who was in Dublin on a business trip — or Guinness sampling investigation as we like to call it. She caught Taco and Ryan’s sets later that night, and proclaimed them “hilarious” — Good stuff!
