and the fb growth people are aggressively fighting this. i log in once a month (no cookies to make logging in intentional) and suspect i’ve been binned into an at-risk retention group. my notifications now explode with every status update shared since i last logged in. i’m sure the growth pm is getting solid engagement results with this approach, but what he/she isn’t measuring is how reducing relevancy in my notifications is training me to rely on facebook less.
