I think it's difficult for those suffering from Alzheimer's or other illnesses to accept their limitations. My boyfriend's grandmother is 84. She's quite independant still, but she recently told me she would never, ever live in a home. I think there is also a fear of abuse. Thanks so much for reading the update.
