The Basics of Quantum Computing

The most basic element of a quantum computer is the qubit. Unlike a classical bit, which can only exist in one of two states (1 or 0), a qubit can exist in a superposition of states, meaning it can be in multiple states at the same time. Additionally, qubits can be entangled with each other, meaning that the state of one qubit can be dependent on the state of another.
