NOW
For 9 years and 7 months already I have been publishing new chapters of the WASTELESS WORLD STORY that for many represent the DIARY OF INDUSTRY 5.0 as well.
In the entire time, just two chapters have the word “NOW” in the title
The first one was published on October 25, 2018
The second was published on October 19, 2021
Now, we are at the end of October, 2023
Two more years passed by together with so many NOWS and it looks like the politicians, decision-makers, and world leaders waste them all.
Instead of BUILDING, they cause and support bigger and bigger destruction
Lives, Homes, Cities, the entire Nations are being laid to the ground
WAR BECOME EVERYDAY REALITY
Fulfilled promises same as paid-back debt are presented as a curiosity in a freak show
Instead of supporting existing solutions and doers, the banks, governments, and scientists create institutes that for years will do the research to say after five years, that five years have not been enough and another five of fifty years are needed.
When on December 31, 2019, Prince William announced the existence of THE EARTHSHOT PRIZE, he used the terms “NOBEL PRIZE FOR ECOLOGY” and “DECADE OF CHANGE”. After great media coverage, two years have been wasted first to see the first winners who won because of PR not results.
The same is the second year and we will see soon the third-year winners on a glamorous show somewhere in the world, a show that emits more CO2 and generates more waste in few days than NEPAL in one year time
Instead of NOW, the next YEAR prize would be announced to deliver the real change, same as on COP28, the COP29, COP30, and COP31 organizers would be announced to keep the travel CIRCUS running, because THE SHOW MUST GO ON
It is the right time to let NOW take the lead
Not tomorrow, but NOW
And you know what NOW needs - support that can be delivered by YOU, the same as it is being delivered by all members of the global network created by the FIRST INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION EVER LED BY MAN (HUMAN)
It is not enough to hold a banner and rewrite the number on it to hold it next time and the next and the next
The first step is not to waste an item that you wasted before. Do not throw away your single-use plastic bottle in the garbage bin after finishing it. Take it to the next place where you can refill and do it. It must not be the same content, it can be just water, but you will see how great feeling it is to realize that YOU PREVENTED WASTE TO HAPPEN and YOU DID IT NOW
And if you want to do more, simply do it again, there are no limits to WASTE PREVENTION and trust me nobody, realy NOBODY will say YOU HAVE TO WASTE because he, she, or it will simply look stupid
