THE LAST COP
COP28 failed, so it is time to start preparation for COP29
Same strategy as at all previous COPs
In the next few days and months, a lot will be said about the reasons for the failure, big media and even bigger analytics houses will cover paper and screens with findings that were all known a long time before the event took place, but no one will come up with a proposal, that will make the next COP, be the last of all COP EVENTS
If no one is ready to take the role I will do that, so here are the basic steps for AZERBAIJAN who should host COP 29
- EVERYONE WHO COME MUST DO SO WITHOUT THE USE OF CRUDE OIL AND ITS DERIVATES
- EVERY MEETING AND SESSION WILL BE HELD OUTSIDE ONLY
- ALL FACILITIES RELATED TO COP INCLUDING ACCOMMODATION WILL BE FREE OF WIFI CONNECTION
- EVERY PARTICIPANT INCLUDING THE HEADS OF STATE, CELEBRITIES, AND JOURNALISTS HAS TO COVER ALL EXPENSES
- IF A PROMISE OR PLEDGE IS ANNOUNCED, THE GIVER MUST GUARANTEE ITS FULFILMENT WITH HIS or HER CAPITAL
I am sure the United Nations as the government of AZERBAIJAN including Ilham Aliyev will welcome the possibility of being the first country and nation in the world that realy contribute strongly to the decrease of the environmental impact of the CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES, promised, but never realized Twenty-Eight years ago. At the same time will AZERBAIJAN be able to benefit from the spending of the world leaders who will come to prove they mean the support seriously.
The President of Azerbaijan can do even more using the one year to turn his country into one of the first WASTELESS COUNTRIES of the WORLD and become a SUSTAINABLE LEADER and true ROLE MODEL.
The implementation of the WASTE PREVENTION FRAMEWORK into national legislation can be great first step
It is important to understand that the framework is not aiming for PHYSICAL WASTE only but five categories of waste, recognized by INDUSTRY 5.0
