If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems. ― Pat Riley

Just do your best and you’ll get through the storm

I was a grad student at CMU in the late 70’s. For a time I thought I had personal issues. I would take showers 2–3 times a day. I didn’t understand what was going on.

Then after a few months I finally remembered a conversation I had with a professor:

Me: This is not what I expected, Pittsburgh is beautiful, clear air!
Prof: Oh, they make them turn the blast furnaces on at night so you can’t see the pollution.

So all this time, I thought it was me. It was all around me and there was nothing I could do about it.

Now my site is getting no traffic. Everyone and his brother has a solution:
- RUN AWAY FROM GOOGLE
- FIX YOUR D&^N SITE!
- STOP BLOGGING

I choose to think I know what I’m doing and I just need to wait.

OK, I’m not great at it yet. But I have a start here, a YouTube channel, Pinterest page, Facebook page, etc. And I am getting people to read. Even Bing, Google’s stepchild. Like poor Harry Potter, living under the Dursley’s stairs.
