Hi, Meghan. If you have a really nice bottle or a sentimental wine you’ve been saving to celebrate a special occasion I’d definitely encourage bringing it to the restaurant and paying the corkage fee. You end up saving money and getting better wine for your buck. Having said that, don’t bring a $15 from the corner store! It’s a slap in the face to the restaurant, and at those price levels once you’ve incorporated the corkage fee the economics just don’t add up.
