Well, you can now do all three at once, because Angel Battles has deployed our incentivized beta test on the Kiln network!
Kiln is the last major Ethereum proof of stake testnet, and it needs a lot of use by the community. While there are lots of tasks for devs to do, there aren’t that many apps for normal users to interact with. However, you can help us play test Angel Battles, and earn rewards when version 2 of the game launches later this year.
Step 1 — Connect to Kiln. You can go to https://kiln.themerge.dev/ and click ‘Add Network to Metamask’ or enter the following settings in your metamask. Network Name: Kiln Network RPC URL: https://rpc.kiln.themerge.dev/ Chain ID: 1337802
Step 2 — Get Test Ether. Go to https://faucet.kiln.themerge.dev/ or ask in our discord.
Step 3. Go to https://www.angelbattles.com/beta, purchase some card packs and get playing! Gameplay should be more or less self-explanatory, so let us know if anything is unclear. Post in the #beta-test channel of our discord with feedback or issues.
Important Things To Know:
At this point, we are looking for a variety of feedback. Things like whether a certain monster was too easy or difficult, bugs where something happened when it shouldn’t, money not flowing as it should, etc.
· This beta test is incentivized, meaning that we will give rewards to people who play and provide feedback. The nature of the rewards is TBD, as we do not want people to try to game the system. In general, we are looking for useful feedback.
· Try to cheat! Steal other people’s cards, jump ahead on the battle mountain, send the wrong pets in to breeding or recycling, etc.
· Because this is a beta test, contracts will be upgraded. This means you may lose your cards or positions on the battle mountain.
· All cards from the beta test WILL be deleted at the end of the test.
The beta test will proceed for at least a couple of months. We are also trying to make a final decision on where to deploy that will give the best security, and least transaction costs and development of zk rollups and other scaling tech is proceeding at a blazing pace.
