The interface should know who we are before we even start. The fundamental technology is already there for this. It’s called browser autofill. All of your details saved in one place, made accessible to a website with a simple request.
The Future of Web Forms
Matt West

I like the potential, but it’s a little scary. Hard to balance giving control to the user and convenience. Companies always seem to err on convenience and bury the control in the updated ToS.

The baby step towards this is simply the form factor of a conversation. Asking, ‘What’s your email?’ in a conversation is active compared to the passive, ‘Enter Email:’ in a webform. I’ve built a few messenger bots (that are really just landing pages in conversation form) and the response rates are great.

I enjoyed the article. Would love to see a demo of these convo forms if you have one up.
