You are enough
Dear Mr. Trump,
I wish we could speak in person so I could shake your hand and convey my genuine respect. We have not met, nor do I anticipate our paths will ever cross, but I hope somehow this note finds its way to you. Mr. Trump, you are enough. You have nothing to prove to others or to yourself. You are worthy of your life. We all fight against doubts about our self-worth. Some battle silently inside and others use symbolic proxies in the external world. Your value as a person does not need to be earned or won. Mr. Trump, you are enough just as you are. I will never know the details of your struggles, but I wish you courage in facing them. Please allow me to again express my earnest respect to you and to our shared humanity.
Sincerely,
Michael Vagts, M.D.
