Becoming a Martian

Today I found myself getting in touch with my inner alien, a curious and persistent little creature named Mïçhæłå (not to be mistaken with Michaela). In doing so, I got to know my classmate Connor. Doing this activity allowed me to improve on my interviewing skills, where I found myself going off-script and gathering some really interesting information.

While I felt confident in my ability to learn about Connor and ask some intriguing questions, I struggled when the roles were reversed. I had a hard time thinking of answers to some of his questions. This was partially due to the existential nature of his questions, but also in part due to my inability to put my thoughts into words. Perhaps I felt the pressure of time or the pressure of providing an interesting answer. Regardless of reason, I had difficult time communicating today.
