Dr. Becky, perhaps you’re trying to help where your words are not of value. The host made a mistake with communication, yes, but Jackson’s anecdote informs us that it was not just himself who had been victim to such miscommunication. An intuitive person and respectable company should recognize that when more than one complaint arises about host, than perhaps the blame deserves to be shifted from guest to host. Hosts seem to be overly-protected by AirBNB, and perhaps it is your position as “Super Host” that gives way to your hypocrisy. Being objective and mindful is important as both a therapist and human-being.
