prismic.io vs. WordPress
prismic.io

This is very misleading (just use WP)
First, these apps are not the same and really should not be compared in this way. WordPress is a complete open-source CMS and website solution with an API. Prismic is just a proprietary CMS and API. I’m not sure Medium is supposed to be used for misleading advertisements. Maybe just focus on what Prismic does.
With WordPress you can do the following:
- Host it anywhere, cheap, moderate, or expensive (godaddy, Pantheon, Amazon, etc.)
- Choose from thousands of free and paid frontend themes
- Add and remove features when you want
- Convert it into an e-commerce site with free and paid plugins
- Extend your content using the WP-API to other sites and apps (this is what Prismic does)
- Hire a developer to customize your site if you want
- Get support from the largest open-source community online
While Prismic has a nice content editing UI it’s missing everything else including:
- No frontend site (just data, you still have to build a website)
- No real e-commerce support
- Performance of your site is limited to Prismic’s performance
- Can’t add new features (you have to wait on Prismic)
