I pay a lot of attention to what the industry is doing with electrification (and publish on the subject regularly). It’s unclear if they have woken up fully yet.

Chinese companies have figured it out, in large part because the Chinese government wants to own this space. These brands are starting to appear in the rest of the world.

BMW has a broken electrification strategy.

VW and its related companies are going to be okay, but it took a near-death experience for them to get it and they are still suffering the hangover.

Etc.

Legacy manufacturers have significant disadvantages in getting viable, high-volume electric cars on the roads.
