Great article. Unfortunately so many on both sides of the equation have hunkered down in their respective fox holes. We are truly a divided nation where the discourse is usually focused on the “answers” to unspecified problems. E.g., we could probably all agree upon the fact that we all want to be safe, but how to achieve this goal is radically different depending on your “side”. Build a wall and impede immigration versus foster a culture of inclusion that doesn’t alienate segments of the population who will revolt like they have done in Europe. Let’s not argue talking points until we can agree what we are arguing about. Find the common ground, anything we can all agree upon and then take it from there……
