Covered in the Blood

The other day I had a dream. In this dream I was back in the psychiatric hospital again. I was flailing around on the floor, in tears. Then, this woman came towards me. She did not work in the hospital, nor did I know her.

She was approximately my age and she walked with power and authority.

She approached me, declaring her name to be Lauren, and said,

“You must cover this in the blood.”

I kept on crying, feeling like I was too weak to do anything. Promptly she left, hand in hand with a man I did not know or recognize. And that’s when I woke up.

I didn’t realize it until later that she wanted me to cover my past, past hospitalizations, past mistakes, delusions, fears, insecurities. To cover them all in the blood of Jesus Christ. So that I could move on from those situations, no longer having them bind me.

And so, that’s what I did. I covered all of that. Every trauma, every fear, covered in the blood of Jesus Christ.

In that way I could finally move on from it. I could finally heal from it.

What trauma’s have you faced? Are you going through something or have you been through something that you just can’t handle on your own? Are you facing fear, doubt, and confusion? Whatever it is, put it under the blood of Jesus Christ.

He will renew you. His blood will cleanse you. Your mind, your heart, and your soul.

Simply declare it. Speak it out loud. Words are powerful. Declare the power of the blood of Jesus Christ in your life. Nothing can stand against it. Not one thing.

Thank God for Jesus Christ and the blood he shed for all on the cross.

God bless you all in Jesus name!
