I am a left wing progressive and have been for more than 60 years and yet I go to Tea Party gatherings from time to time just to hear what my political opposites are saying. Have I become a Tea Party person. NO! Have I learned a few things, often distasteful, YES! So everyone should cut Richard some slack. He is a smart guy, a great actor and has a good son. He, as you is free to attend any political speeches he desires.
