Danna Colman. I like this story, it is a nicely constructed piece about a relationship, not yet, but possibly in some future time. There is his side to this story and it seems like phone conversations with a hint of mild flirtation. His thinking of you and anticipating your call, his thoughts about being together with a woman after a long emptiness after his wife’s death. All the thoughts that go through the mind of a young person who is looking forward with a certain glee to a first date of sorts. And you have put down how someone who is in need of speaking to a human being and discussing the poetry you both right. It’s anticipation of something? I like this sentence it’s a nice concept to hope on.
“the only man she’d ever met who was actually better than solitude.”
