Irene Brooks, I can relate to your story very well. I have some very bad IBS caused by PTSD over the last many years. It’s compounded by stress and anxiety.
What you are explaining sounds like it could be Fibromyalgia. I’ve been the recipient of so many of the illnesses that come with this disease. I would recommend talking with a doctor and discussing this possibility. Also, you may want to ask about Diverticulitis, that is little pockets in the Small Intestines that collect food particles and become inflamed and gives a person the most horrible gut wrenching cramps, doubling over cramps that even mimic appendicitis. It will cause a severe case of diarrhea that will last for sometimes two or more days. If you can’t get to a doctor have one call in a antibiotic to kill the infection. You can help get rid of this by eating mashed potatoes, puddings, jello, and anything that is soft and easy to digest. But you do want to check with your doctor before you start anything to try and help it.
Blessed be.
