Shaun King. Your article is very intense and well written. This is a really scary story of some of the corruption that happens in New York City. There has always been a question about corruption in the different precincts throughout the 5 burros. You can watch all of the cop shows or movies you want and still not touch the bottom line of the corruption. Surpicco gave us a look into the way that the corruption worked, “The Godfather,” gave the uneducated public a glance at the rise of organized crime and how the corruption in the NYPD came about. There was Cop Land that showed the brotherhood in the NYPD. Blue Bloods the TV show shows us a very toned down version of the truth but it’s nice to watch. So little time, so many movies that show the life of the Police in NYPD and what they go through and how the corruption comes about. All of the activities that go on in the city, just just touched on, but if push comes to kick, I’m sure that the sheer numbers of corrupt activities that the different police are involved in would fill another book.

I’m always amazed at these tell all books that are written about these actives in the NYPD. My own fear would be that by naming names, the chance that you would be singled out for retribution, would be high as I could imagine. The story that came out when “The Godfather” was written was that Mario Puzo had a contract on his head after it was published. But anything for better book sales.

Your article is well written and a real eye opener. I do have to read the first part now.

Well done you.
