Great piece, Matt. I feel like I’m kind of getting a relevant experience from Foursquare, where over time I’ve curated a range of places that I like, so new places get suggested for me in my current location that are in keeping with my tastes. But I agree that the data is there to make this so much more seamless. I think this was the ultimate use case for beacons and the nascent IoT movement a few years back, although that kind of fizzled without a killer app. Anyone ever go to a beacon-enabled sports stadium…? How’s that experience?
