Agreed, there are very few resources on this complex topic. Essentially, the two major systems humanity has designed to “get stuff done” are capitalism (the market) and communism (the state). Both have reached their limits and so what’s now required is an entirely new system, based more on the principles of Nature (Nature rewards but doesn’t incentivise).

I don’t believe anyone has the answer yet, which is why we’re setting out with the game idea. We think we will learn practical lessons through the playing of a game, which in and of itself could become this new reward system.

Incidentally, I’m starting to question whether “any form of incentive results in competitive behaviour.” It sounded logical when I first heard it, but there are holes in this theory, so I’m unsure.
