The objective of this piece is not to antagonize the SDG’s

Gotcha, and I agree. In the absence of anything else, the SDG’s are at least a worthwhile framework, a good starting point. I think we both agree, though, that each goal is simply one symptom of a much bigger systemic breakdown. The challenge is, how do we come up with a solution that addresses ALL of the SDG’s in a transcendent fashion?

In Crowdsourcing Humanity’s Future I tell the story of the Horse Manure Crisis of 1894. I feel the SDG’s are the equivalent attempt to clean up our version of “horse manure.” While governments are focussed on those efforts, a transcendent method/technology/mindset will make all of these challenges obsolete. At least that’s my hope.
