I started writing for real when I was 49 after selling my business, and forsaking my trade and my middle class life. I cleaned houses and cooked for a frat before getting the writing mileage to start actually selling freelance. I paid the bills (some of them at least) writing news. At 71, I’m toiling in the fresh soil of new media, and writing the inevitable novel. Old is actually a relative term…
