Today, we turn to a systematic review and meta-analysis (study of a collection of research investigations). Here’s the bottom line: Researchers determined that when compared with placebo or no treatment, vitamin D supplementation was not associated with an increase in overall all-cause mortality, but there are some nuances (based on vitamin D form and type of mortality) that you need to know about.
