There are times in which we all struggle to manage our way through life. Certain obstacles present themselves at all of the wrong times, difficulties pile up and seem unbearable to manage and overcome, and life in general just seems to be doing everything in its power to go against us.
We have all felt this way before.
The thing is, though, there are always going to be things that are going to try to hold you back, and there are going to be times where you may just want to quit. Quitting, however, is never the answer. You will never achieve any success, happiness, or worthiness if you quit. So don’t do it.
In the times where you want to quit, here are 8 things to remember.
1. Remember your true strength
How many times have you failed in the past? Probably a lot, right? And yet, here you are. Despite feeling like your world was going to come to an abrupt end, you managed to find a way to pick yourself up and keep pushing. That is what it means to be strong.
There are going to be times in the near future where you are going to feel the same way — feel like your world is going to come to an end when you experience failure. During this time, reflect back on all that you have already achieved and overcome in your life. You have failed before and you will fail again. Similarly, you have picked yourself up before, and you do have the strength to pick yourself back up again.

2. Success never happens overnight
I get it, I too am a person who hates waiting. If something comes to my mind, I want it, and I want it now. But one thing that I have had to teach myself over the course of the last year is to be patient. Success is not something that happens overnight. Success is something that comes to those who are willing to fight for their beliefs until their beliefs become a reality.
Time isn’t for us to decide. Maybe we find our success today, maybe it’s tomorrow, or maybe it’s in twenty years. One thing is for certain though… if you give up on yourself, you will never find that success.
3. Remember how you felt the last time you gave up
One of the best things that has helped to keep me motivated is to look back on how I felt all of those times that I gave up in the past. Whether it was giving up on a sport, giving up on a job, or giving up in any other area in life, I always remember having this gut-wrenching feeling wishing that I would have kept pushing forward.
When we give up on ourselves, we are also giving up on any possibility of ever turning our desires into our realities. Use that feeling that you had the last time that you gave up to motivate you not to give up on yourself moving forward.
4. There is always tomorrow
Yeah, you may have had a bad day. Guess what though? Tomorrow is a new day. What happened yesterday does not determine what happens today. What happens today does not determine what happens tomorrow.
Treat every day for what it is — a fresh new start. Forget about yesterday. Focus on what you can do in the present moment and how you can help to set yourself up for even more success tomorrow.

5. Struggles only make you stronger
It’s hard to endure struggles and not want to quit, but in looking back on the struggles that you have faced, how many of them can you say that you didn’t come out on the other side a better person? None.
Any struggles or obstacle that you face in life is only going to make you stronger. They are going to require you to break out of your comfort zone, they are going to push you to think in ways in which you have never thought before, and they are going to give you experience.
6. Everybody experiences setbacks
Sometimes in order to get to where you want to go, you are going to have to take a step back. Remember that nothing in life is immediate. Life is a process, and you need to focus on the big picture of life instead of just seeking the brief rewards.
Don’t think of setbacks as failures. Think of them as learning tools. Learn from your setbacks and prevent yourself from making those same mistakes moving forward.
7. Everything will be okay
A lot of the times that I find myself wanting to give up, it’s because I fear all that could go wrong. I come up with these conclusions in my mind for how I think a situation may go, and I allow that conclusion to prevent me from moving forward. At the end of the day, though, I am usually wrong.
At the end of the day, everything will be okay. No matter how badly you want to give up, no matter how badly you failed, and no matter how you feel about your past, you are still here. You are here and you are still living the greatest gift ever — the gift of life. Everything always works itself out, so keep moving forward and keep believing in all that you are worth.
8. Success comes to those who embrace failure
I know, it’s not fun to think about, but if you want to be successful, then you need to be willing to fail over and over again until you get it right.
When you learn to embrace failure, you are eliminating the thought and idea of ever giving up. Giving up is the only thing that can ever prevent you from achieving the success that you envision for yourself, so if you give up, you will never find success.

When Life Isn’t Going Your Way and You Want to Quit
If you aren’t willing to fail, then you aren’t willing to succeed. Life can be tough, but always remember that you are tougher. Success comes to those who are patient, to those who are willing to give their dreams their all, and to those who are willing to find the strength within themselves to overcome any obstacle that stands in their way.
Be that person. Work for your dreams, be patient, and never let any amount of failure stop you from living your life. That is how you will find success during the times in which you want to quit.
