With all these examples you ignore how these companies deliver value by making people’s lives better.

AirBnB: travelers have more options for places to stay, making travel more affordable and making it possible to stay in neighborhoods without hotels.

eBay: Sellers have access to a global market, which is especially great for people that sell niche products. Similarly, buyers have access to a universe of products that didn’t exist before. I believe eBay esp. has created a whole industry around it that didn’t exist before.

Amazon: People no longer need to spend time driving and walking through a store to buy the things they need. Also, with Kindle, you can get books more quickly and cheaply than ever, and don’t need to deal with their weight and bulk.
