As content manager at Healthline, I was heavily involved in the development and execution of the preliminary video strategy for its audience of 60million+ monthly visitors. We began with original storytelling and trending news and I explored different formats to help educate and inspire our various communities on social media. I also helped create the preliminary storytelling videos for Eaze.

I’m 14, and Medical Marijuana is Keeping Me Alive

Using a very remedial editing platform, I started exploring original storytelling for our customized condition specific Facebook pages. This was one of my first and most successful stories, receiving over 200,000 views.

Presenting at the HealtheVoices Conference in Chicago 2018

The following presentation, “Protecting Your Message: Working with Publishers to Enhance Content” was an interactive session where I not only informed the audience how I made Healthline reevaluate its tone when talking about living with chronic illnesses, but also lead a discussion where audience members were encouraged to open up about the misrepresentation of chronic conditions in the mainstream media.

Content produced for Archive Productions

At Archive, I’ve been able to hone my video editing skills using Adobe Premier Pro.

Finding Community Through Cancer

After creating a better look for our short form storytelling pieces, this was Healthline’s first long form piece. I felt very strongly that we needed to help share a different perspective on being diagnosed young with a challenge illness, and Helen’s story was so inspirational that I insisted we create this piece.

2017 World AIDS Day National Observance

This was Healthline’s first foray into live event coverage geared towards a specific audience. President Bill Clinton and others urged advocates and those living with HIV in San Francisco to “keep up the fight” against the global epidemic. Healthline was there to cover the inspiring events for World AIDS Day.

These Common Crohn’s Triggers Aren’t Food

I wanted to explore unique ways that Healthline could share important insights from their audiences who lives with invisible illnesses. This was an early exploration into using live action imagery (from inside our own kitchen) to help educate others about lesser known chronic conditions.

Ganja Yoga with Dee Dussalt

This was Eaze’s first video piece to help establish cannabis as a more medicinal product, and explore how some thought leaders were using its medicinal benefits in their everyday lives. This was a project I also lead from start to finish, even appearing in the video myself!

These Women are Opening Up About Their Invisible Illnesses

I developed a campaign called #MakeItVisible, where Healthline brought attention to the 125 million people who live with invisible illnesses, often silently. These are some notable people helping to shine a light on invisible illness. Learn more about the mission here.
