2 Lawrence Men, Reluctant to return home after killing “Cecilia the Lion”.

January 31,2016

Jonathan Leifer,45 and Ron Friedman 40 both natives of Lawrence, Long Island a modern orthodox enclave and suburb of NYC, spent “Yeshiva Week” (a weeklong vacation for the private Jewish day schools inconveniently scheduled in the midst of January) in the wilds of Africa.

Eyewitnesses at the scene claim that Cecilia the mate of beloved Cecil the Lion killed last year, “started up” and became increasingly aggressive and began antagonizing Ron Friedmans family, and as acquaintances of Ron will attest, you don’t start up with Ron Friedmans family. As illustrated by an event last year in JFK Airport when once again Friedman and his family were provoked, where the situation escalated and ended in a physical dispute. Unfortunately for the Cecilia the Lioness, Ari Oliner was not present, as he was last time, to intervene and the Lioness Was killed.

Leifer, not comfortable that Friedman was going home with the only Trophy kill, decided to hunt for a trophy of his own. “I wanted a Cheetah” Leifer is quoted as saying, “my wife Jamie loves cheetah prints and I had to get it for her”. Unfortunately both men did not realize that both species were protected under the Semite hunting code 403–2 of Zambia, and both kills were illegal. The investigation is underway at this time and the authorities are considering whether to press charges.
