This might be the first time any candidate promised to legislate from the bench

It might be, but it isn’t. Look at what any Democrat candidate had to say about the Citizens United decision: they constantly and loudly promised to appoint justices to overturn a decision they and their supporters didn’t like.

If you like Roe and don’t like Citizens United, that’s an excellent reason to vote Democrat, but it’s no excuse for pretending you are morally superior to people who feel the other way.
