A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
It is a period of shutdown for the NEW REPUBLIC (the intergalactic government, not the magazine). A faction of conservative Senators led by a new dark lord, Reince Preibus, has refused to authorize a new budget, as the fledgling government drowns in its war debt. Throughout the galaxy, impoverished citizens have resorted to the consumption of raw Ewok in order to survive.
Aboard THE MILLENIUM FALCON, Han Solo and Chewbacca roam the galaxy, searching for new sources of capital. Working for unknown paymasters, the notorious bounty hunter Ted Yoho pursues the former smugglers as they beg their way from star system to star system.
Meanwhile, Princess Leia Organa has been dispatched on an urgent mission to the Galactic Reserve Bank where she seeks access to the safety deposit box of the deceased Emperor Palpatine. The contents of the safety deposit box could change the balance of the budget though the key was vaporized when its own was thrown into the molten nuclear core of the second Death Star.
Unbeknownst to his cabinet, President Skywalker has absconded from the capital planet of Coruscant on a secret mission to rescue his health care reform act from the Sarlac Pit. Unable to travel by government spacecraft, Skywalker has been forced to hitchhike across the galaxy, in clear violation of copyright.
