Hello friends! Happy Monday! It’s going to be a great day and a great week. You know why? Because that’s what I think. The power of the mind and positivity can keep you happy…and that’s the goal of life…to be happy.

I like to start each day with a motivational quote. Today is a Buddha day:

“Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.”

Thanks Buddha. Today is a clean slate. So let’s make the best of it.

THE DAILY CHALLENGE

My goal for today is to reach out to someone I haven’t spoken to in a while and say “I’ve been thinking of you”. Try it! Just send a text or make a quick call…see what happens next…

I attended a seminar with a motivational speaker who mentioned how communication can affect people’s lives. In this digital world, reaching out to one another is easy. We find ourselves going day by day communicating with the same small circle of people. Try to reach out to those you haven’t spoken to in a while. Make that giant leap to initiate the conversation. Make someone’s day by thinking about them. A quick text or phone call can make a big difference.

Muscle Monday

Squat Baby Squat: loved by few, dreaded by many. If you can find moments throughout the day to squat 10 times

, you’ll find that these small intervals can add to stronger legs and glutes. These can be done with or without weights, or with your favorite bottle of wine. Feel the burn! And enjoy a nice

to counteract the calories you just burned.

If you find yourself truly feeling the burn…so much that you’re having trouble moving… you probably need to see a physical therapist. Recover Athletics provides free, easy, virtual, physical therapist certified stretches and exercises

.

I will survive…my workout

Probably one of my all-time favorite songs: Higher Love by Whitney Houston and Kygo. Steve Winwood, Whitney Houston, and Kygo.. Could it get any better? I don’t think so.
