When I was a kid I loved to draw. However as I grew things happened that created a major mental block toward drawing. Even for the past 20 years as I’ve painted Byzantine icons my least favorite part of painting icons was drawing the pattern. Three years ago as I was healing from my first concussion I started to regain my love of drawing and somehow the mental block disappeared. After over 30 years of not liking to draw and not wanting to draw I’m finally back to the place where not only do I love to draw but I want to draw. Thank you to both Nick and Rhoda who have repeatedly encouraged me in the process of regaining my love of drawing.
