Leaving a Legacy continued…….

Every day we are given a choice. We choose ordinary or extraordinary. From the time we wake up until the time we lay down we make decisions. Each decision is an action and has an equal reaction. Some decisions affect us positively others negatively. One doesn’t necessarily mean they are good or bad. Jesus lived a perfect life yet was put to death. He wasn’t guilty but yet had a negative outcome. Or did it? Let’s think about that. So Jesus came to the earth to live as a fleshly being. He lived a perfect life. Yet some found his words and choices offensive. So they plotted to kill him. (But wasn’t this the Fathers plan from the beginning?) Didn’t He have to die in order that we might be saved? The answer is yes. So now if we translate that into our lives, we must understand that just because we don’t do anything “wrong” does not clear us of repercussions. However if we know deep within our hearts that our desires were pure and our intentions were good than we will have no guilt. So let me restate this so I am clear. Your actions (especially when involving faith) may have positive reactions and negative reactions, regardless if your actions were positive. The Bible warns us that we will be persecuted and hated for His names sake.

So all that being said I will ask one bold question. Are you courageous? Are you willing to do something extraordinary? Many people throughout history have done some exceptional things. And we remember them for that. I could name some names and probably all of you could tell me some facts about them. For example: Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and the list goes on. Why do these names stand out? It’s because they left a legacy! Now many people think you can’t leave a legacy unless you are rich or popular or come from a specific family. Well I would argue that you are wrong. Most of the people in that list grew up in poverty. They made their legacy by the choices they made. They chose to be extraordinary. They chose to be different. They chose what everyone else said wouldn’t make it or couldn’t happen. Well guess what it can and it did! Now I will say it will take hard work. It will take time. It will take perseverance. But the rewards will be so great! So won’t you join me? Will you start your legacy? Will you be exceptional? Do something small. Help someone in need. Pay it forward. Bless someone with what God has blessed you! Be an inspiration to others! Won’t you do it? Let’s see if we can change the world! It starts with one. It starts with you!

God bless you,
