Fight or Flight
This fight or flight idea is dependent on many factors and situations. If a life was in danger I would totally fight. If I came face-to-face with a bear, I would totally hug it and cook a bowl of porridge and combs its hair all night. But that would end bad.
There has been a situation when I did fight for something and that something was the last toy in the store. It was very much like Jingle Bells. Wait is was Jingle Bells. Nevermind.
I think everyday of our life is filled with fight or flight situations. With so many people competing for the same thing it is hard to just be. We all strive to be the best at what we do. We walk away from situations that we deem not worthy.
As a photographer, I fight to be the best or to just be good. There are so many photographers out there in the world that are just as good or better and they are deemed “affordable” or they do a job for free. I have to fight with that. As a photographer I flight from projects or clients that I don’t feel 100% about. If I am not 100% committed to a project or client, then it’s not worth my time.
In relationships there are always fight or flight situations. You fight for the one you love. You flight from the stalkers and crazies. Sometimes you fight the crazies and stalkers.
But, to regret a decision I have made would go against something I believe in. I believe that its best to live life without regrets and reflect on the bad decisions and celebrate the good ones.
