Michael Schoeff and Dr. Gary Rybka have created the Pup Pee Poo Palace, an advanced potty training system designed specifically to help pet owners while they’re away from their pet. We were eager to find out the story behind Pup Pee Poo Palace, so we interviewed Michael Schoeff. He confessed us that he has always been passionate about dogs and their environment.

Interviewer: When have you launched Pup Pee Poo Palace and which were your expectations?

Michael Schoeff: Pup Pee Poo Palace was released in 2013 as a solution for busy dog owners that don’t have enough time to spend with their puppies. The system was dedicated to potty train puppies starting from essential needs of puppies and ensuring a comfortable place for them.

Interviewer: Which were the main triggers that have led to Pup Pee Poo Palace concept? How did the product appear on the market?

Michael Schoeff: Housetraining dogs can be a difficult task, both for owners with no experience and busy owners that don’t stay at home all day long or simply don’t have enough time to spend with their puppies. Besides these aspects, a puppy doesn’t have control over elimination until at least 12 weeks of age, so when their bladder or rectum become full they empty spontaneously. They need to be taken outdoor, which leads to the risk of infections if puppies haven’t completed their vaccinations. Starting from these points, our team has created the concept and designed the product. We have thought of taking advantage of puppies’ natural behavior, so we created a separate elevated sleep and play area and an elimination area. Bedding area is made of a frame covered in bedding material and it is raised above the floor of the cage using frame extensions. Puppies tend to get up on things, so the elevated loft can be reached by any puppy instinctively. This system reinforces good patterns for puppies as they have the tendency to repeat same actions. Furthermore, the owners are recommended to let the palace door open when they are home to allow puppies practice their habits and return to the cage whenever they need to potty.

Interviewer: Which are the main advantages of using Pup Pee Poo Palace?

Michael Schoeff: Pup Pee Poo Palace is a great tool for owners that don’t want to deal with classic potty training. It saves time, removes the risk of infections for puppies that haven’t completed vaccinations, it is very comfortable for puppies and lasts long time. Puppy owners can enjoy their free or sleeping time without worrying about their puppy. They can still train puppies to go outdoors whenever they can and want, especially after eating, drinking, playing or sleeping.

Our customers have a 30 day free membership to Doctorpup.com where they have access to training supports and experienced veterinary advice through articles, videos, a Q&A forum, live interactive chat or phone consultations. Interviewer: Who should buy Pup Pee Poo Palace?

Michael Schoeff: Our product is designated for any dog breed so each owner can enjoy the new and easier potty training device. Pup Pee Poo Palace is very appreciated by busy owners or owners with no experience as they get rid of difficult tasks and provide their puppies more comfort.

Interviewer: Does Pup Pee Poo Palace fit for any dog breed?

Michael Schoeff: Yes, we have created several versions to ensure our product is suitable for any dog breed.

24" Pup Pee Poo Palace is designated for all micro and toy size puppies that weigh under 5 lbs at maturity.

30" Pup Pee Poo Palace suits best: Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Chihuahua, Yorkie and Maltese mixes, Pomeranians and all other puppies that weigh under 14 lbs at maturity.

36" Pup Pee Poo Palace is created for: Havanese, Cavalier King Charles, Shih Tzu, French Bulldog, Pug, Boston Terrier, Min Pin, Jack Russel, Toy Fox Terrier, Poodle, Bichon, Westie, Papillon as well as all puppies that weigh under 30 lbs at maturity.

42" Pup Pee Poo Palace is perfect for: Golden Retriever, Labs, English Bulldog, Australian Shepherd, Pomsky, Border Collie, Goldendoodle, Cocker Spaniel, Chow Chow, Husky, as well as all puppies that weigh under 70 lbs at maturity.

Interviewer: Which are the main differences between Pup Pee Poo Palace and classic potty training?

Michael Schoeff: While traditional potty training involves the necessity of staying all the time with your puppy to take him outdoor whenever needed and especially after eating, drinking, sleeping or playing, Pup Pee Poo Palace can be used without restrictions, even when the owners aren’t present. This is the major difference that eases the process of potty training.

Interviewer: Has your product been a new revelation for dog owners?

Michael Schoeff: Our product was very well received and appreciated by consumers. Since it was released, the sales increased continuously. We launched Pup Pee Poo Palace in 2013 when the sales recorded $400,000. In 2014, the sales registered $500,000, in 2015, they recorded $650,000 and in 2016 went up to $780,000. And we are expecting consistent increases for the next years.

Interviewer: Has the product been officially recognized and approved?

Michael Schoeff: Our product has an original combination of an elevated loft for sleep and play and custom designed pee pads and tray clips for hassle-free clean-up. Pup Pee Poo Palace was granted by United States Patent and Trademark Office and has received the patent number 9521826 on December 20, 2016.

Interviewer: When will the next version of the product be available for US marketplace and which are the new features?

Michael Schoeff: For the moment, Pup Pee Poo Palace is available in various sizes, starting with breeds under 5lbs at maturity and going up to breeds under 70lbs at maturity as I have mentioned previously. The owners can choose between several kits with different types of accessories: custom fit pads, extra pee poo pads, food/water bowl, palace canopy, snuggle blankets, snuggle pal, wire cage loft. Of course, we are preparing some improvements, but I cannot reveal them yet. For details about available kits, please visit www.PupPeePooPalace.com and stay tuned for the next versions.
