Fast forward and the problem becomes scarier. Where are these disengaged employees landing? And, how long before their disengagement returns? Greener pastures will always abound but the real question to ask the employee is “Are you running from something or towards?” And, how much of the problem resides with you the individual? The factors which promote disengagement are not all outside our control as employees. How we show up and what we argue for is as much a part of the conversation as what management can and must do.
