As much as I believe in the meaning and intent in your words, one area where these core competencies are missing is looking for a job. Today you never see on a job description these fine human qualities that make up who a person is. Fortune, SMB and start-up companies are “mostly” looking for college degrees then experience; emotional intelligence is never a factor to getting into the first round of interviews.

Sadly, until we begin to see companies change their hiring criteria, adding emotional intelligence and self-awareness as a prerequisite, your wonderful and truthful view won’t be actualized in corporations or individuals.
