- Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (due: May 17, 2024)
- This grant program provides funding for state, local, tribal, and territorial governments; nonprofits; and institutions of higher education with funds to establish or enhance capabilities to prevent targeted violence and terrorism.
- Behavioral Health Service Expansion Grant Program (due: May 22, 2024)
- The purpose of the FY 2024 Behavioral Health Service Expansion program is to support health centers in increasing access to behavioral health services through starting or expanding mental health and substance use disorder services.
- Rural Cooperative Development Grant (due: June 3, 2024)
- The primary objective of the RCDG program is to improve the economic condition of rural areas by assisting individuals or entities in the startup, expansion or operational improvement of rural cooperatives and other business entities. Grants are awarded competitively on an annual basis to Rural Cooperative Development Centers who in turn provide technical assistance to individuals and entities.
- DHS Announces $1.8 Billion in Preparedness Grants (due: June 24, 2024)
- These grant programs provide critical funding to help state, local, tribal and territorial officials prepare for, prevent, protect against and respond to acts of terrorism and disasters.
- The 2024 Renew America’s School Prize (due: July 13, 2024)
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE’s) Renew America’s Schools program provides investments to transform decaying public school infrastructure into healthier, more energy efficient learning environments. The program supports the implementation of infrastructure improvements in schools, with a focus on local educational agencies (LEAs) that qualify as rural and/or high poverty. Through Renew America’s Schools, DOE will help create healthier learning environments, lower utility costs, and redirect funds to support students and teachers.
Examples of Grant Funding Recently Secured for Nevadans by Senator Cortez Masto:
- $156 million to expand Nevadans’ access to solar energy
- $4.8 million for clean transportation at Harry Reid International Airport
- $4.2 million for increased research technology and capacity at the University of Nevada, Reno.
- $149 million for Maryland Parkway Transit Project
- $1.4 million to improve road safety across Nevada.
- $30 million to support Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe outdoor recreation project.
- $1.7 million for Eureka County to repair road damages following natural disasters.
