Martial R. Knieser, M.D. — Medical Consultant

Duratech Recommendation from August 21, 2010

Dear Mr. Sherfick:

I am writing as a 35 year practicing pathologist and former Chief Patholgy and Director of Laboratories of Community Hospitals of Indianpolis. In that capacity I had the responsibility for the entire clinical laboratory services for over 22 growing facilities. Your development of pettier technology is a great advance for the practice of clinical laboratories medicine. Having the ability to adjust temperature up or down with a high degree of accuracy is a necessity to the practice of sound laboratory medicine. In the blood bank the ability to test for warm and cold antibiotics while testing other specimens at 37 degrees is a great advantage to practicing qualify laboratory medicine. The ability to maintain temperatures to +/- .05 degrees is impressive when compared to the older technology of water baths. In chemistry the heating and cooling of specimens is also necessary with high degree of accuracy.

When reviewing your equipment I could not help but be impressed with the cost effectiveness of your TCONs and Auto Sampler. As the Chairman of the Board of VEI (Visionary Enterprise INC., the for profit arm of Community Hospitals). I am always looking for opportunities to be more cost effective. The small foot print of the TCONs and the silent operation of the Auto Sampler are impressive. Also the bar code reader on the Auto Sampler makes positive patient identification available which is a big plus in preventing specimen mix up and supporting continuous positive ID.

I have noted that you are committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction possible. If I can be of any service to your organization in providing in medical opinion on the value of your products, do not hesitate to contact me. Again, thank you for your efforts in the field of cost effective laboratory medicine.

Sincerely,

Martial R. Knieser, M.D.
