I was saddened and frustrated to read of Leslie’s experiences as a player; I was even more disgusted by the attitude of the guys ‘supporting’ women’s Ultimate at He4She. My daughter is fortunate to have Leslie as a coach and was really burned up by that experience.

I MUCH prefer watching HS girls play (granted, I might be biased). But I find that the young women on Leslie’s team play hard, don’t give up, and fully embody the Spirit of the Game. My daughter connects with opposing players. They play hard against one another and exchange hugs afterwards.

Boys games? Not as much fun. Too often we witness bad attitudes and behaviors from both male players AND coaches.

Leslie is an exemplary coach. My daughter is fortunate to have her as a coach and Ultimate is fortunate to have her as an advocate.

Now if we could just get some of the boys to listen…
