Don’t Stress, Passion Isn’t Something We Are Born With. We Can Cultivate It Ourselves.

You have only one true passion or purpose, and if you don’t find it soon, you might end up leading a life with little or no meaning.

Ideas like this are false and are propagated often in modern self help.

We all have interests and things that we might like, such as writing, modelling, cooking, landscaping etc. This is how any and every passion starts. Being told or led to believe that we have one passion that will grasp our attention immediately is frustrating and can cause enormous amounts of unnecessary self doubt.

Stop trying to find your passion. Cultivate one instead.

Most of us want to “find” our passions. We put pressure on ourselves to seek out and become great at whatever it is that we think we want. This is still good, and can lead to some success and productive outcomes.

The problem lies with the idea that we should feel immediate passion and unwavering motivation upon discovering the thing that we feel that we like.
