Love it. But I’m pretty sure those handful of evangelicals you think are so nicely accepting of LGBTQs in the church are just playing the long game. I grew up in all of the most in-there, out-there, most hardcore Christian fundamentalist evangelical charismatic pentecostal catholic/charismatic cults hippy groups, and even the most streamlined generic, you-name-it churches and believe me when I say I know how they all operate/think. None of these people (excepting possibly the hippy groups)will ever accept “abominations” (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:24, I Corinthians 6:9, to name a few of their favorite references). Believe me, I am a firsthand witness to this terrible tragedy. My aunt was (notice The WAS) LGBTQ and my grandfather was an evangelical (covertly fundamentalist) preacher…. Our family’s story is very long and involved and very detailed and complicated. And very sad (ending in deaths all around).

I believe many evangelicals are covertly fundamentalist separatists, intolerant, and using evangelicalism’s convenient guise of inclusion to lay low until they can show their true colors. Just my own life experience. Not saying it’s fact. Just my own opinion. Which, like belly buttons, we all have 😆 LOL.
