Digital Agenda: III Episode

More Digital, more Agenda.

On June 19th and 20th, the Irish Presidency hosted in Dublin the third edition of the Digital Agenda Assembly. The event is probably supposed to be the highest moment of visibility for the work the Commission is carrying on when it comes to broadband, cybersecurity, web-entrepreneurship and innovation. With that being said, the third edition of the Digital Agenda #da13 was a great success of public…for the ones who live in Brussels or Dublin. Outside of these two cities and in many other places in the blogosphere, no signs of communication activities have been recorded.
It is hard to say how many European citizens are aware of the Digital Agenda. A quick Google search will show the few hits regarding the event in the mass-media outside the Brussels bubble. Being it social, being it online and being it digital, we need to work harder in making it European Citizens’ Agenda.

Have you ever heard before of the Digital Agenda Assembly? What can Europe do in order to grow its digital economy, support more startups and create more jobs? The Assembly is a very important moment for raising awareness about the job that the EU Commission is carrying on. Involving citizens and startups which are struggling with issues such as how to make their ideas profitable is a different topic. Good points and inspiring speeches were heard at the #da13. We are now counting on an even more inspiring follow-up.
