What worries me about this is how it seems to leave out the most vulnerable in our society.

It seems to me that a store like this would need to provide a traditional checkout because you need a smartphone and an Amazon account (which are pretty high benchmarks for participating in a convenience store), or if someone wanted to pay in cash or using EBT. It would also lock out a lot of young kids and seniors, and possibly create issues for groups disproportionately targeted by surveillance systems.
