Got my hands on the latest Aldi beauty product that has sold out!

I’m sitting here with a charcoal face mask on about to try some weird apple cider vinegar and fizzy water concoction and I think to myself… I remember when I use to be cool. Well, maybe not cool, but not this nerdy.

Yesterday wasn’t better with one of the highlights (I sh*t you not) being a trip to Aldi where my little eyes spotted their latest beauty craze: Lacura Airbruch Stocking. So, my lovies, having a weird weekend what else would I do but try try it out for you with some fab shots of my legs that are more ham-hock than hot dog, but we can’t all be models.

There are no colour options — you spray it onto a tanning mitt, apply and head out the door. It says it is transfer resistant and supposedly hydrates your legs.

You would be forgiven for confusing it with the infamous Sally Hanson — the look, the product — though the Sally Hanson comes in a range of colours and is a bit pricier. Additionally, with Sally Hanson you can, they say, just spray and go.

How did it work?

Check out these pasty chunks — awooh #nofilter (not that I think you thought there was)
Lacura on the left — nude on the right.

When I first sprayed it onto the mitt it came out so dark I got a fright — in fact when I rubbed it onto my leg I thought “Oh merciful Jesus”, but, within seconds it rubbed in and actually came up a really natural colour. Did it hide my imperfections — nope- but if anyone is that close to my legs to check them with this product on they are getting a slap so I wouldn’t worry.

Lacura on the left and Sally on the right.

The Sally Hanson I used was in a medium glow and came out tangoed-orange. It definitely gives you that tan look but I prefered the Lacura — you might disagree.

They are both ‘transfer resistant’ — so I gave each a minute to dry in and rubbed a white towel on the ham hocks to see.

The Lacura transferred a lot — but I did give it a good rub — you can see how dark the colour actually is!
Good old Sally didn’t transfer as much but I think that is still a lot of transfer.

Overall I think I prefer the Lacura if you are heading out and want a really healthy finish to your legs without looking tanned. The Lacura felt nice on, hydrated and didn’t smell.

I’ve seen a lot of articles referring to it as a dupe for Sally Hanson, but, this gives a very different result. It is something I’ll be using again, but not if I’m wearing white/cream.

Have to go — the charcoal mask is getting super tight… God help me.
