F-35 Support
With the Iowa caucuses over and the 2016 election officially in full swing, it is impossible to avoid hearing about our foreign policy and security threats on a daily basis. Many presidential hopefuls have laid out plans to address these threats and enhance our national security as they’ve traveled across the country on the campaign trail.
I’ve listened to candidates detail strategies to rebuild our military, keep our troops safe, and invest in the best of the best for our service members. Yet, as the primary elections draw nearer, it is important to remind our candidates, both presidential and congressional, that they must practice what they preach. If they believe that we must do everything in our power to ensure our nation stays a global power, and our service men and women return home to us safely, they must continue to support the advancement of technology in regards to our weaponry.
This is why I am so glad to hear that our great Senator Joni Ernst is doing just that by supporting the F-35 Lightning II Aircraft.
I have served in the ranks next to men and women who have served our nation overseas and I wholeheartedly believe that we must do all we can to keep our great nation safe. With an international political landscape that is constantly changing, it is of the utmost importance that our military’s technology evolves as well.
The F-35 is a phenomenal aircraft, one that can help us defeat foreign threats and protect our men and women in uniform as they perform even the most dangerous of missions.
Thank you, Senator, for your dedication to our nation through serving in the Iowa National Guard and continuing public service in the U.S. Senate, and for your support of our military and the F-35.
I encourage everyone to join me in supporting the F-35 aircraft. In a world of uncertainty the one thing we shouldn’t have to question is whether or not our military is fully equipped with the latest technology to combat these threats.
