10 Journal Prompts for Self-Love

Journaling can be a fantastic way to get to know yourself a little better. Sitting in a quiet space (or a crowded coffee shop if that’s your thing), sipping tea and gazing at the scene beyond your window is a great place to start.

People often feel stuck when they first begin, hampered by expectations and their own judgment.

If you can relate, then try this practice.

Put your pen to the paper (or your fingers on the keyboard) and start writing. Do not let your fingers stop or falter.

Even if you write the phrase, “I don’t know what to write” over and over again, keep writing!

Eventually, something more will breakthrough, and you may be surprised by what you find.

So find your comfy place, relax, and allow yourself this time. If it feels awkward, keep trying. Writing is a practice, one that you can only improve. Try one of these writing prompts on Self-Love, and then try another tomorrow. See where these prompts take you, and what your answers teach you.

What brings me joy?

What puts a smile on your face or makes you laugh? What part do you play in creating this?

What are my strengths?
